Borussia Dortmund wont stand in the way of forward Jadon Sancho if he wants to leave the club in the summer.
Sancho is attracting interest from English Premier League sides Chelsea FC and Manchester United and according to Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, the club will not keep the player against his will.
“You always have to respect what the pkayer wants. We have always said before Corona that our preference was to for Jadon to stay with us.
“I can clearly say that even the rich clubs, despite the current existential crisis, shouldn’t think theyll get a bargain from us. We dont have to sell playwrs below their values,” Watzke told Bild.
Sky Sports further reports that despite the on going coronavirus pandemic, the player’s representative has not stopped taking from potential suitors with the player eexpected to earn Dortmund a good sum having signed a new deal last summer.
Its is said that in his contract when joining City, Sancho’s previous club in Manchester City has a first refusal clause in any deal and are able to match any offer that is accepted by Dortmund.
Apart from United and Chelsea, the player has been linked with a move to Liverpool, City, Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
