So you’ve lived in Racine County all of your life… or maybe you haven’t. But did you know the director’s chair, automatic candy cane crooker (because who likes to eat a straight stick of candy cane?), and the nursing (baby) bottle were all invented by people from Racine?

No? Yes? Well… we have a ton of Racine-made gadgets. So many that we think these are stories worth telling.

We’ll kick off the Gadgets & Geek series about things made in Racine County past and present starting May 1. Paul Holley, the former marketing director from Real Racine, will write a Gadgets and Geeks story every week. We’ll then host a trivia event at one of our advertising partners’ venues. We’ll ask 15 questions. The person with the most correct answers will win a prize from our sponsors and our host.

You’ll also get to meet some of our sponsors, maybe see some of those gadgets and have some fun. Now how can you go wrong with that?

By the way, if you are interested in advertising or sponsoring this featured content, here is our Gadgets & Geeks rate card. The series kicks off May 1. Advertising inquiries can be emailed to Denise Lockwood at denise@racinecountyeye.com.
